Another thing to "accomplish" in Kodiak is to see one of its bruins which our guests were able to do early in their trip. Probably a 3-4 year old male. Incidentally the day before Beaver and family arrived one was shot and killed less than a quarter of a mile away from Gregg and Elizabeth's house for putting a man up a tree (the man called from his cell phone up the tree to the police), the bear had been causing other problems as well and was deemed a threat to people which is very unusual here.
