Skating with Santa

I forgot to bring a camera. Tonight I took Wynne ice skating for the first time. If you think getting your shoes on when you're pregnant is a challenge try lacing up hockey skates! I didn't think of how comical it would be to be a big-bellied pregnant lady taking a two year old on ice skates for the first time. Needless to say we only made it around one big lap and my back had had it. People tried to help - each of us holding one of Wynne's hands, or another time with a cool red "cart-like" trainer thing that the kid can hold on to while they stand and you skate behind them and push, but I think Wynne will need a few more sessions before she's very confident out there. Thankfully tonight she also enjoyed the Christmas tree and Santa skating around.

Hey, kudos to you, E, for getting out on your skates! I have been meaning to get out on my CC skis, but seem to lack motivation these days, especially with the -20 F windchills we've been suffering through lately.
